Philip is an author, consultant and commentator specialising in the future of work. He predicts the way that new trends and forces such as emerging technology will shape how we work, live, learn and enjoy leisure.
He has worked with organisations such as Ernst & Young, Allen & Overy, GlaxoSmithKline, Cisco, McKinsey & Co, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Royal Bank of Scotland, Nokia and Ericsson on future concepts for work and the work place.
Philip has spoken at conferences around the world including the Wall Street Journal Europe CEO Forum on Converging Technologies, alt.office in the USA and Corenet’s Global Summits in Beijing, Orlando, Auckland and Melbourne.
In 1994 he founded the group with the publication of The Cordless Office Report. He has written a number of books on the future of cities, work and workplace including The Creative Office, The 21st Century Office and Space to Work (all co-authored with Jeremy Myerson). He has also contributed to a number of other books including The Corporate Fool and The Responsible Workplace.
Director of The WORKTECH Academy
Jeremy Myerson is an academic researcher, author and activist in people-centred design and innovation. He has recently joined Unwired to set up and act as Director of The WORKTECH Academy; a global knowledge network. Jeremy has published several influential books on workplace design and holds the Helen Hamlyn Chair of Design at the Royal College of Art, London. His most recent titles include Time & Motion (2013) and Life of Work (2014).
A former journalist and editor on such titles as Design, Creative Review and World Architecture, he founded Design Week magazine in 1986 and later co-founded the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design at the RCA in 1999, which he directed for 16 years until September 2015. He has advised businesses and governments around the world and sits on the advisory boards of design institutes in Korea, Switzerland and Hong Kong. He was recently named by Wired magazine as one of Britain's 100 most influential people in digital technology.
Isabel is responsible for all aspects of her events including programme development, logistics and marketing and has a extensive range of experience in event production, client management and account management.
She is responsible for a wide range of events at Unwired including international conferences in Amsterdam, Melbourne, San Francisco, New York, Toronto & Singapore, executive briefings and workplace tours.
Prior to working at the Unwired, Isabel worked at Brand Architects, a cosmetic brand management company and has a BA in Linguistics and Sociology.
Caroline is responsible for planning and organising a series of UNWIRED events including FutuRetail and WORKTECH events across UK, Europe, Middle East and South America. She is responsible for all aspects of these events including content, programme development, commercials and marketing. She joined Unwired after working for a leading business-to-business advertising agency within the Publicis Group. As Head of Planning she was responsible for strategic communications and brand consultancy with clients such as Morgan Stanley, London Stock Exchange, Ernst & Young, Credit Suisse and NatWest. Prior to that she worked at Citibank and completed her Masters Degree in Marketing at Kingston Business School. In her spare time she enjoys running, cycling, tennis and travel.
Head of Finance
Jane Ryan joined UnGroup in 2012 and became Head of Finance for Unwired in 2015. She manages all aspects of internal finance and operations procedures.
Prior to joining UnGroup, Jane worked with a variety of other clients as a freelance finance and operations consultant, specialising in helping evolving businesses to establish good internal structures and procedures which encourage and nurture growth.
Jane has a BA Hons degree in English, is IAB qualified and ACCA part-qualified.
Nicole joined Unwired in January 2015 to support successful WORKTECH conferences in Sydney, Melbourne, New York, San Francisco, Singapore and Toronto. Nicole is now responsible for her own series of events, managing the complete event lifecycle from content and programme development to commercials and marketing.
Prior to UnGroup, Nicole worked for Post Office Ltd, as a Business Analyst for 2 years, before travelling around South America and South East Asia. Nicole has a degree in History from Swansea University.
Global Partner Manager
Ben Montague is an experienced, business-focused technology solutions consultant, sales and commercial lead and will be working with our diverse range of Unwired partnerships. Joining the team to set up and act as the Global Partner Manager; Ben provides innovative services and solutions for our sponsors and will be ensuring our solutions are tightly aligned to our partners and customer business requirements, so that they remain satisfied and continue to grow with us across; Worktech, Future Retail, Wellness and other new exciting events. Prior to joining Unwired, Ben worked at director level for a number of multinational technology providers and system integrators, including software start up, and sold service lead consulting business.
Passionate about excellent service and exceptional execution, Ben is keen to deliver by utilising a business requirement lead and consultative approach to our partners. Beyond work, he enjoys family life, travel and spending time in Italy where he can occasionally be seen on race tracks and having alpine adventures by car.
Senior Events Coordinator
Tania graduated with a double degree in media and journalism from Rey Juan Carlos University in Madrid. She has experience in events coordination, social media and as a production manager in film and recently moved from Spain seeking to further her career in a professional events environment. Tania is fluent in Spanish and English and she has an intermediate level in French and Italian.
Rhiannon joined Ungroup in February 2016 as Business Manager to assist with financial and administrative support.
After completing a B.Sc in Business & Management from Aston University, Rhiannon has worked within Digital Marketing and Recruitment. She has also enjoyed some time travelling around South America.
Lilly joined Unwired in September 2016 as a Graduate Trainee Events Assistant, to support the successful WORKTECH conferences in Sydney, Melbourne, New York, San Francisco, Singapore and Toronto. She has a wealth of experience in leisure events and is excited to now be developing her career in professional corporate events. In her spare time Lilly enjoys CrossFit, Photography and Travel.
Samantha joined Unwired as a Graduate Trainee Events Assistant in November 2016 after graduating with a BA in Sociology from California State University, Chico. During the completion of her degree Samantha gained experience in event coordination, fundraising, and social media marketing. She recently moved to London to establish her career in professional events and looks forward to assisting in the success of Unwired events. In her free time Samantha enjoys hiking, painting, yoga and travel.
Graduate Event Researcher
Joe joined Unwired in 2017 as a Graduate Event Researcher, assisting the team with event research and sales support. He graduated from the University of Manchester with a BA in Ancient History and subsequently spent some time travelling. In his spare time he enjoys reading and is a keen runner and footballer.
