John brings to PeopleCube more than 30 years of extensive experience managing the successful start up and turn-around of several software companies. As a featured speaker at numerous events around the world and a frequent author in major trade publications, John is considered a thought leader and innovator who is at the forefront of the workspace management industry.

During his tenure at PeopleCube, John has led the company through four successful acquisitions in six years, piloted a complete transition of the company from Meeting Maker, Inc. to PeopleCube, maintained a customer retention rate of 96%, and converted the business from a license-based to highly-successful subscription-based sales model. Combined with ongoing innovations in alternative workspace, workplace business intelligence, energy management, and real estate management, John has driven significant global expansion of PeopleCube in North America, Europe, the Middle East, and Asia. As a result, PeopleCube has achieved sustained growth of more than 27% annually, making PeopleCube the worldwide leader in the workspace management market.

Alan acts as Head of Vision and Chief Evangelist Officer to the worlds first venture fund, funded by a global community GrowVC. Alan is a special advisor to the revenue sharing mobile marketing company, Qustodian, and sits on the board of inspiration at the Dutch Think Tank Freedom Lab. He is a visiting lecturer at the Cambridge University Judge Business School, and at the Oxford University Saïd Business School including Exec Ed programs. Alan is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.

Sevil formed her London based studio SevilPeach, Architecture+Design in 1994; having previously worked for several leading Architectural practices.

As a team they have a wide range of experience including Retail, Healthcare, Exhibition and Residential projects. Over the past fifteen years they have developed an in-depth interest and expertise in workplace design, working with clients who have wished to re-cast their work environments to both better support their business goals, organisation and employees, and to develop new working patterns and relationships.

Their groundbreaking workplace solutions for the interiors of Vitra’s offices in their Weil am Rhein Campus in Germany, has led to a longstanding and on-going consultancy to Vitra on the creation of new office concepts and products, as well as designing numerous exhibitions, showrooms and offices for them throughout Europe and the USA. Their approach to work environments has resulted in their involvement with a great number of internationally recognised projects for Clients such as Sony, Mexx, Deloitte, Novartis, Eczacibasi Holdings, Microsoft.

They are currently working on a new concept for a Laboratory Workplace for Novartis in Shanghai, Swiss Re Headquarters in Zurich and are collaborating with Herzog & de Meuron Architects on the new Tate Modern Museum extension in London.

Sevil has participated in a number of International workshops and conferences for, amongst others, the Bauhaus, Dessau; Roskilde University, Denmark; Oslo City Conference; Designmai, Berlin; Mind the Map Conference, Istanbul; SIA Symposium, Basel; LAI in Amsterdam; Worktech, Amsterdam, Marista University, Mexico and led various summer workshops for Vitra Design Museum at Boisbuchet, France.

Barry Varcoe

Barry Varcoe BSc PhD FRICS

Barry Varcoe is a visionary, consultant, researcher and writer on the corporate real estate and facilities management industry and the impact it has on the organisations and people who use what it creates.

He has undertaken senior leadership positions in a consulting practice, global service provider and an international financial services organisation, and is the immediate past chair of leading industry association CoreNet Global. He has also recently completed a research doctorate.

Barry is a regular speaker at conferences around the world, including at CoreNet Global, IFMA, BIFM, FMAA and BCO events. He has published a wide range of research papers and articles and has contributed to a number of books including "Reinventing the Workplace" and "Productivity and Quality Management Frontiers".

He has recently founded Real Estate Resonance to make the most of his pan-industry and international experience, focusing on working with organisations and people who, like him, are passionate about significantly advancing the capability of corporate real estate and property management for the benefit of its various 'customer' stakeholders.

Chris Waugh

Chris Waugh is a director and co-founder of IDEO's Food & Beverage practice, and a lead in the Consumer Experience Design business community. In both of these roles, Chris is focused on using design thinking as a means of creating positive impact for IDEO's clients, their customers, and consumers.

F&B at IDEO looks to people's unmet needs, desires, and aspirations to tackle a wide variety of design and innovation challenges, from designing the next $100M product platform to creating weight management strategies for consumers. Chris enriches the F&B practice with his passion for understanding how the intersection of social issues, systems, and food can help our clients create better offerings—and help consumers live better. He is a firm believer in the premise that what is good for business can be good for people, and vice-versa.

In addition to leading relationships with businesses and organizations such as Nestlé, Campbell's, and the Centers for Disease Control, Chris has guided the evolution of thought within F&B at IDEO by authoring points of view on wellness, obesity, and behavior change.

Before joining IDEO, Chris worked in marketing and product innovation for Specialized Bicycles. He represented the "voice of the market" on a variety of industry-leading projects, including development of technical shoes, concept shops, and integration of medical design into ergonomic consumer products.

Chris is a competitive cyclist, triathlete, and volunteer coach for Team in Training, a group that raises money for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society by training people for marathons, triathlons, and 100-mile bike rides. When he's not in the office, you might find Chris swimming between Alcatraz and San Francisco.
