Rising from the regenerated docklands, it is a welcoming building, designed to reflect the surrounding landscapes and flourishing waterways, in its glass and metallic surfaces.
The Lowry overlooks the new mediacity:UK
Mediacity:uk is an innovative, creative hub, to rival other new media cities emerging around the world. It is surrounded by water. At its heart is a triangle of iconic buildings, The Lowry, Imperial War Museum and a new media complex.
The vision for mediacity:uk is a network of streets, squares and boulevards will cascade down into a huge waterfront piazza. The development will provide employment for over 15,000 people in 700,000 square meters of new and refurbished space for business, retail and residential.
