TRAVEL ADVICE

Visa Requirements

All travellers to China, (other than holders of a People's Republic of China national passport or Chinese citizens), are legally required to carry a valid passport with 6 months validity beyond the time of travel, with a valid visa and return ticket for travel to and from China.

Anyone seeking to attend, or participate in WORKTECH08 ASIA should note the following:

If you are a delegate with an office in China; then you must secure a letter of invitation from your company, or obtain a letter of invitation from any other company you may be visiting while you are in China.

If you are a delegate without an office in China then you must either obtain a letter from other companies you may be visiting whilst in China, or contact UNWIRED for additional guidance.

If you need additional support then please submit your enquiry to martin.hale@unwired.eu.com with the below information:
1) Full Name on passport
2) Passport number
3) Expiry date
4) Nationality
5) Current Employer
6) Current Position
7) Duration of your visit in China (from when to when)

Passports

A valid passport is required for travel into China, and your passport must have at least 6 months validity.
Note:
China does not recognise dual nationality
HIV-positive travellers are not permitted to enter the country

Visa

Visa charges vary; please check with your local embassy for further information.
The cost of your Visa is not included in the WORKTECH ticket price.

Validity

Visas vary in their length of validity. Single or double entry Visas are valid for 3 months. Multiple-entry visas are normally valid for 6, 12 months or in some cases from 2 to 5 years. Check with your local embassy or Travel Agent to select and apply for the Visa that suits your individual needs.

Visa Application Notice

Applications should be made at least one month in advance and you are normally required to provide your valid passport, a passport sized photo, letter of invitation, confirmed return travel information and accommodation confirmation. Please check with your local embassy or Travel Agent to ensure you have all the relevant information for your individual visa needs in your country.

UNWIRED cannot be held responsible for your inability to attend WORKTECH if you are either refused a visa or do not submit the relevant documents to your local Chinese Embassy in time to receive the visa and make your journey. Under these circumstances, no refunds will be made.

Insurance

UNWIRED recommends that all delegates, exhibitors and speakers take out appropriate travel and medical insurance prior to making their journey to attend WORKTECH. UNWIRED cannot be held liable for any losses should a delegate fail to take out appropriate insurance.


Accommodation

A special rate of 2600rmb+15% (380USD), including breakfast, has been arranged for all registered WorkTech08 Shanghai Delegates at the Shangri-la Hotel, just a 10 minute walk from the SWFC.
