Debbie is the Vice President Corporate Real Estate for Deloitte Canada, responsible for working with clients to ideate, design and implement their Real Estate strategy projects. She is most passionate about the "Future of Work" - working with clients to adapt their business to the trends evident in our economy and society that will challenge our existing infrastructure and drive the need for a new way of thinking about work environments. Sheila Botting

Sheila Botting is Partner & Canadian Real Estate and Construction Leader, and a member of Deloitte’s Global Real Estate & Construction Executive. Sheila is responsible for Deloitte’s full service offering to the real estate industry, and real estate services for other clients, which includes some 600 employees operating across 56 Canadian markets.

Sheila was also responsible for Deloitte’s corporate real estate program and led the transformation of the firm’s office portfolio of almost 2 million sf across Canada including Deloitte House in Toronto and Deloitte Tower in Montreal that required the development of new office buildings with Brookfield Properties and Cadillac Fairview respectively. The team also scaled our Workplace Strategy toward existing buildings and smaller markets, demonstrating that “one size does not fit all”. This strategy has led to tremendous productivity gains and cost savings across Canada.

She has provided extensive real estate expertise to corporations, government, real estate companies, investors, pension funds and others across the industry. She is renowned in her knowledge and expertise in commercial real estate, working with many clients in the public and private sector around the globe. Recent assignments have included the transformation of the City of Toronto’s 106 million sf real estate service delivery model, Government of Canada’s special purpose portfolio strategy, and asset strategies for the Hamilton Waterfront transformation, Ontario Place, Pickering Nuclear Power Plant and some of the country’s largest portfolios.

Sheila holds multiple designations, degrees and awards including the Fellow of Institute of Management Consultants, Fellow of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors, Honourary Member of the Appraisal Institute of Canada, Women at the Top Award from the Junior League of Greater Toronto, Women’s Leadership Award from the Urban Land Institute and recently, the Most Distinguished Women award from CREW Global Network.

He has over 20+ years of experience in the digital controls domain and has worked on various industry technologies capable of delivering data connectivity and energy savings. Tony is responsible for bringing new and innovative solutions to market so clients can achieve their smart building goals via connected lighting technologies. With the focus of taking light ‘Beyond Illumination’ by integrating it to the IoT, he was instrumental on some of the first Power-over-Ethernet lighting projects in North America. Tony has been with Philips Lighting since 2015 and previously held senior leadership positions with Johnson Controls and Tyco International.

Recent projects include designing a 35,000 square foot modular, reconfigurable workspace for the New York offices of Google Creative Lab, as well as designing an elevated park and amenity space for a premier, new workplace development in New York City. Previous work includes the Brooklyn Museum Visitor Experience project, as well as Design Lab and Maker Space for the New York Hall of Science. For the past two years Aleksey has served as a juror for the Flatiron Public Plaza design competition sponsored by the Van Alen Institute. He has served as a guest critic at the Harvard Graduate School of Design and the New York Institute of Technology, focusing on his commitment to material research and building technologies. Aleksey also sits on the career pathways and culture committees for the AIA of New York. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from The Cooper Union.

David Martin

David Martin is the co-founder, chairman and chief technology officer of Nureva Inc. In 1987 he co-founded SMART Technologies Inc., a company that changed the use of technology in classrooms around the world. Martin has received many awards and levels of recognition because of his efforts, including an Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE) in 2013 for “contributions to education.” Martin has received numerous awards recognizing his work in collaboration technologies. Jeremy Myerson

Jeremy Myerson is an academic researcher, author and activist in people-centred design and innovation. He has joined Unwired to set up The WORKTECH Academy, a global knowledge network. He has published several influential books on workplace design and holds the Helen Hamlyn Chair of Design at the Royal College of Art, London. His most recent titles include Time & Motion (2013) and Life of Work (2014). A former journalist and editor on such titles as Design, Creative Review and World Architecture, he founded Design Week magazine in 1986 and later co-founded the Helen Hamlyn Centre for Design at the RCA in 1999, which he directed for 16 years until September 2015. He has advised businesses and governments around the world and sits on the advisory boards of design institutes in Korea, Switzerland and Hong Kong. He was recently named by Wired magazine as one of Britain's 100 most influential people in digital technology.
