With a reputation for turnarounds and growth he channelled that capability into his own consulting activities designing and leading a number of business transformations before embarking on his current role as Managing Director for Collaborative Design.

Meng Chew Ching

Meng-Chew is an experienced Corp Real Estate (CRE) executive well known in the Asian CRE circles, being one of the early pioneers in this region. Currently he is heading up Unilever’s Workplace Services (WS) organization for Asia, Africa, & Russia, which also includes Middle East, Ukraine and Turkey, and he sits on the Global WS Leadership Team responsible for Unilever’s Global workplace portfolio of more than 10 mil sqm.

Prior to joining Unilever, Meng Chew was the Asia Pacific Regional Director for GlaxoSmithKline and Nokia through the years 2005-2011. He started his corporate real estate career in Sun Microsystems in 1996 and lived in Shanghai through that 9 year period with SUN, kick starting and responsible for their property portfolio in those early China days. In the early 90s, Meng Chew spent stints in a MNC Real Estate Brokerage Firm and a Singapore listed Real Estate Developer, in consultancy and business development roles.

Stella Gwee

Stella Gwee is the co-founder and director of Shophouse & Co, a creative placemaking studio based in Singapore that helps city agencies companies and communities turn urban spaces into vibrant places for live, work, and play. A multi-hyphenate, Stella began her career in a music technology startup in the early 2000s and built her expertise as a publicist, marketer, arts manager and producer. Her extensive network and experience across the Arts, Theatre, Music, Film, Design, Architecture and Creative Industries internationally and in Singapore led her to develop creative projects that involves injecting vibrancy into the city. She believes strongly that creativity, culture and the community are key ingredients to building a vibrant city.

Projects include place strategy, place branding, programming, producing, creation of place, partnership and community engagement. Her work has been featured in publications such as Monocle Magazine and together with co-director, Adib Jalal, she is also a finalist in the Ashoka Changemakers global competition for the project Transitional___ in 2014. She was most recently shortlisted as a finalist in the international “Creative Leader, Campaign 360 Women Leading Change Awards 2017”.

David Hutton

David is Managing Director of Development and is based in Singapore. He has over 27 years’ experience with Lendlease in development, design, funding, public/private partnerships, and asset and property management. He has worked across the key property sectors of residential, commercial office, retail and retirement living, including leading numerous major city renewal projects with Government, institutional investors and private sector partners. David has directed many of Lendlease’s largest developments and held senior management roles for Lendlease in Europe, Asia and Australia. David holds a Bachelor of Business (with Distinction) and has previously held industry board positions at the British Property Federation, the Investment Property Forum in the UK, the National Property Council of Australia and the Committee for Sydney.

Melina Lee

As the Head of Workplace by Facebook Growth in Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand and Greater China, Melina helps businesses make the most of Workplace, an enterprise tool that allows companies to connect, communicate and collaborate. Prior to Facebook, she spent 8 years at Google with her last roles as the Head of Google Cloud Platform Southeast Asia and Head of Geo- Singapore, India and Indonesia at Google for Work. Over the 8 years she has been in various roles, including two years in Hong Kong. Prior to Google, Melina worked in operations for Singapore Airlines. Melina holds a Bachelor of Economics from the National University of Singapore.

Will Myles

Regional Managing Director, Asia Pacific, RICS

Will Myles is a member of the Executive Team at RICS with responsibility for the Asia Pacific region, where his focus is on promoting international standards in the built environment, with RICS providing the global assurance framework for stakeholders. His background is in advisory, consulting and contracting roles across EMEA and Asia Pacific in the construction and property sectors. Most recently Managing Director for Bahrain and Kuwait at WS Atkins plc, Will led the business through a period of significant change. Prior to this, Will established a management consulting arm for Atkins in the Middle East and led the international investment appraisal team based out of the UK. Will holds an MBA from IMD International in Switzerland and an LLB from the University of London, having originally qualified as a Chartered Engineer in Hong Kong.

Richard Paine

Richard Paine has over 28 years of property industry experience and has worked on numerous high profile projects, in partnership with co-investors and on fund mandates in the Asia Pacific region. With 15 years’ real estate experience in Asia, Richard has developed an extensive network with government agencies, investors, banks and key stakeholders. Richard has a very good understanding of the success factors for property development, ownership and performance. Richard was previously Managing Director of Investment Management, Asia, where he was responsible for the Lendlease Investment Management, Asset & Property Management businesses in Asia, with over S$5 billion in assets under management. Prior to Investment Management, Richard was Head of Integrated Solutions, leading a team in matching capital to the numerous project opportunities available to Lendlease. The team comprised research, capital transaction, equity sourcing and product development functions. Richard now leads the exciting new mixed-use development at Paya Lebar Quarter, Singapore. Richard holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Mech) (Hons) degree from the University of Sydney. He also possesses a graduate diploma of Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute.

Stephen Pill

Stephen is the Digital Strategy Director for FITCH Hong Kong where he focuses designing at the intersection between digital, brand, retail and customer experience.

Stephen has a background in design and UX, and extensive experience working across Asia, the Middle-East and the UK. Throughout this, he’s delivered innovative and award-winning work for clients such as Dubai Airports, Swire Properties, The Ritz-Carlton, Singtel, Chow Tai Fook, Fossil and Intel. His work includes establishing successful social networks, revitalising one of the internet’s original e-commerce success stories and working with some of the world’s hottest start-ups.

Stephen’s recent work includes reimagining the airport from the ground-up to design a truly passenger-centric experience and helping to transform Swire Properties shopping malls into a smart omni-channel ecosystem throughout China.

The two main segments of the portfolio are the innovative Haworth xFriends platform and the celebrated Haworth Collection. He is also the Sustainability Manager in Haworth Asia Pacific.

Tobias Puehse

Mr. Puehse leads innovation management at Mastercard Labs Asia Pacific. In this role, he is responsible for activities that help generate unique, innovative ideas, both internally and in collaboration with our key external partners. His focus spans ideation through prototyping and business case development, both developing new propositions and determining which opportunities make the most sense for Mastercard and its partners to pursue & incubate. Most recently, Mr. Puehse was named to Next Bank’s Top 100 leaders in Asia’s fintech scene which recognizes people shaping finance across Asia in 2016 and beyond.

Prior to joining Mastercard, Mr. Puehse held key leadership positions in the Innovation Practice at The Nielsen Company. At Nielsen, he most recently led the Innovation Practice for Southeast Asia, North Asia, and Pacific supporting more than 100 clients in reaching their desired innovation outcomes. In his 12-year career with increasing levels of responsibilities, he had been based in the USA, India, Singapore, and Switzerland covering clients globally prior to joining Mastercard in Singapore. His experience is reflected in his various published articles concerning breakthrough innovation.

Chintan is a trained architect and an urban designer, and leads the Cities team in Arup Singapore. With close to 15 years’ experience masterplanning precincts and mixed-use developments, strategising smart cities, regenerating urban landscapes, and designing transit oriented developments, Chintan has worked on some of the most iconic projects globally.

Chintan has lent his expertise to the High Speed Line 2 in the United Kingdom, the North West Rail Link Corridor Masterplan in Sydney and city-wide urban development and transport strategy for the city of Kocaeli in Turkey. His journey has brought him to Singapore where he is currently helping to develop a vision for Singapore’s Smart Urban Habitat Masterplan, paving the future for the next generation of public housing in Singapore.

In the last few years, Chintan has developed a strong interest in the designing and implementation of Smart Cities. Together with the Imperial College Business School, he has co-authored a paper entitled 'Smart Cities or Smart Governments?’ The paper highlighted the importance of government’s role in the success of smart cities/ nation agenda.

He is also a regular keynote speaker to various international conferences on Cities and Urbanism in Asia and Europe focussed on smart cities, transit oriented developments and walkability.
