Greg Lindsay is a contributing writer for Fast Company and an author of the international bestseller Aerotropolis: The Way We’ll Live Next. His writing has appeared in The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Bloomberg Businessweek, The Financial Times, and McKinsey Quarterly, among others. He was previously a contributing writer for Fortune and an editor-at-large for Advertising Age.

He is a visiting scholar at New York University’s Rudin Center for Transportation Policy & Management studying mobility and connectivity. His work with Studio Gang Architects on the future of suburbia was exhibit at New York’s Museum of Modern Art in 2012. Primo Orpilla is the award-winning co-founder, with Verda Alexander, of Studio O+A, the San Francisco design firm responsible for groundbreaking workplace designs at Facebook, AOL, Microsoft, Yelp, Evernote, Cisco, Open Table and many other companies.

Orpilla and Alexander established their firm in 1991 with an eye to bringing the agility, creativity and speed of execution then prevalent in the Bay Area’s entrepreneurial economy to the offices in which that economy was being hatched. As Studio O+A evolved, its concepts of what makes for an effective workplace grew more nuanced, and today Orpilla and Alexander are recognized thought leaders in the field of workplace design.

Studio O+A’s designs have received awards from the International Interior Design Association, FX Magazine, Interior Design Magazine, Contract Magazine and the Chicago Athenaeum Good Design Program. In 2011 Contract Magazine named Primo Orpilla and Verda Alexander Designers of the Year.

A strong advocate for design education, Orpilla has taught workplace design at San Jose State University and with Verda Alexander has mentored students at CEDIM in Monterrey, Mexico, and at SCAD in Savannah, Georgia. This year he lectured at the IE School of Architecture and Design in Madrid.

Eric has over 20 years of contract furniture sales & design experience and has extensive knowledge of high performance corporate workplaces. As a professional Interior Designer, Eric has served as the Director of Design and as an integral part of the management teams for two furniture dealerships in Colorado. Before joining Herman Miller in 2007, he directly managed the creative design teams responsible for delivering innovative solutions for their clients. Eric has a strong background in design management, spaceplanning, space utilization, space optimization and creating innovative workspaces for a wide array of corporate clients. Eric is passionate about creating sustainable, high performing work environments and helping his clients achieve successful outcomes. Estudio Guto Requena reflects about memory, digital culture and poetic narratives in all design scales. Guto, 34 years old, was born in Sorocaba, countryside of Sao Paulo State. He graduated as Architect and Urban Planner in 2003 at USP - University of São Paulo. During nine years he was a researcher at NOMADS.USP – Center for Interactive Living Studies of the University of São Paulo (www.nomads.usp.br). In 2007 he got his Master degree at the same University with the dissertation, “Hybrid Habitation: Interactivity and Experience in the Cyberculture Era” (http://www.gutorequena.com.br/site_mestrado/intro.htm).

He won awards and had lectured and exhibited in several countries. He was a professor at Panamericana – School of Arts and Design and at IED – Istituto Europeo di Design – at both graduation and master levels.  Guto had lectured on 70 workshops all over the country, and received the “Young Brazilian Awards” as recognition.
