José Carlos Arnal is managing director of the Zaragoza City of Knowledge Foundation, a private-public initiative to foster the advance of the city towards the Information Society and specialized on technology-based entrepreneurship promotion.
From 2013 the Foundation is also the main activities programmer for the new Etopia Center for Art & Technology created by the Zaragoza city Council and conceived as an open factory for innovation and creativity for companies, city goverment, artists, entrepreneurs, researchers, early adopters and citizens.
After working as a business journalist for over 20 years in different regional media and as a technical advisor between 2003 and 2011 to the Mayor of Zaragoza Juan-Alberto Belloch, my professional interest have increasingly been focused on the innovation processes and the impact of ICT on the urban development.
Speaker and participant in many national and international conferences and workshops on urban innovation.
I had a Degree in Journalism by the Universidad Autonoma de Barcelona and the Advanced Management Program by IE Business School.
Author of two books on the culture of entrepreneurship and startup creation.

Mark is director of Herman Miller’s insight group and is responsible for commissioning as well as sharing Insight into the latest thinking in workplace design and related issues. Mark has delivered more than 300 seminars around the EMEA region, including South Africa, Russia, Saudi Arabia, UAE, as well as across the UK. Oliver Marlow is a multi-platform designer and co-founder of TILT. As Head of Design at the Hub he collaborated on over 20 Hubs all over the world. He was a co-founder of the Forest Café in Edinburgh, and has designed with amongst others, Futerra, the Young Vic Theatre, the Battersea Arts Centre, Aldeburgh Music, Edinburgh Film Festival and NPI, Shanghai, the first social innovation centre in China.
As a filmmaker and photographer he has published and shown widely, including The Sundance Film festival, UkinNY, New York, ICA London and Videa00, Barcelona. Pictures have appeared in the Sunday Times, Financial Times, The Stage, and The Herald amongst others.
A strong interest in social agency and change has led me to use many forms of expression, each imbued with particular structures and approaches. Dr. Agustin Chevez experience combines industry practice with academic research in the field of design. Agustin’s interest in the relationship between people, space and technology saw him pursued a PhD on the evolution of workplace architecture as a consequence of technology development at RMIT University (Australia). Following its completion, Agustin joined the research and workplace strategy team at Geyer, where he undertook research on design topics as well as developed workplace strategies. Agustin is currently an Academic at the Faculty of Health Arts and Design at Swinburne University.
