Grant Baldwin
Grant Baldwin is a Division Director of Macquarie Group with over 25 years experience within Corporate Services and Information Technology. He has worked within Macquarie for over 12 years and currently heads the Global Workplace Strategy and Project Management divisions covering 28 countries and over 70 offices.
During his time at Macquarie, Grant has had responsibility for Wholesale Markets, Information Technology, Global Corporate Services and the One Shelley Street development.
Grant’s team prides itself on searching for the right alignment of innovative, commercial and forward thinking solutions that exceeds the requirements of the Group’s clients, shareholders and staff. Macquarie’s One Shelley Street offices are a recent example of this. Opened in 2009, it is at the forefront of environmentally sustainable buildings and innovative design, creating an inspiring work environment for staff.
Grant began his career in the UK working for City Business Products (A financial markets subsidiary of British Telecom) on moving to Australia he joined M W Marshall broking responsible for Shared Services throughout Asia Pacific.
Neil Edmond
Neil came to HSBC in April 2010 from having previously worked for JCI for three years, where in his last role he was the Global Account Director for the Barclays / ABSA contract. Prior to that Neil worked for ExxonMobil in a variery of roles in the downstream business (both refining and retail).
For HSBC Neil has taken on the role of the CRE lead for Global Workplace & Facilities Management solutions a position that looks to develop the strategic thinking and solutions for the bank’s Workplace and Facilities Management across it's global portfolio. Working closely with the regional CRE teams Neil is responsible for the solutions and frameworks that define how the bank manages Workplace and it's FM needs.
Ben Munn
Ben is Joint Head of the Global Workplace Strategy Group within Global Corporate Services in CB Richard Ellis. He has extensive experience in strategic occupancy issues, advising corporate occupiers on property requirements, workplace and occupancy opportunities and change management strategies.
Ben has worked extensively in the financial services sector. Clients include HSBC, American Express, Bank of America, JP Morgan and London stock Exchange.
Andrew Sergeant
Andy is an Executive Director at Goldman Sachs leading the Real Estate Planning function across EMEA. Within the Corporate Services and Real Estate organisation he is responsible for managing the relationships with business Divisions across the region, defining and translating their businesses requirements into Real Estate strategies, assets and services. He is also responsible for the Real Estate Capital Planning process across EMEA as well as driving the adoption of the Firms workplace standards.
Prior to this, Andy spent 14 years at Accenture in a variety of Corporate Real Estate and Business Consulting roles. His final 6 years were as a Director within the IT and Business Process outsourcing business, specialising in the Service Transition and Business Transformation for major outsourcing deals.
Andy is a Chartered Quantity Surveyor, having studied Construction at Sheffield Polytechnic and an MBA in Construction and Real Estate at Reading University.
Barry Varcoe BSc PhD FRICS
Barry Varcoe is a visionary, consultant, researcher and writer on the corporate real estate and facilities management industry and the impact it has on the organisations and people who use what it creates.
He has undertaken senior leadership positions in a consulting practice, global service provider and an international financial services organisation, and is the immediate past chair of leading industry association CoreNet Global. He has also recently completed a research doctorate.
Barry is a regular speaker at conferences around the world, including at CoreNet Global, IFMA, BIFM, FMAA and BCO events. He has published a wide range of research papers and articles and has contributed to a number of books including ‘Reinventing the Workplace’ and ‘Productivity and Quality Management Frontiers’.
He has recently founded Real Estate Resonance to make the most of his pan-industry and international experience, focusing on working with organisations and people who, like him, are passionate about significantly advancing the capability of corporate real estate and property management for the benefit of its various 'customer' stakeholders.
